Ada-Reva Spae facilitates classes and workshops seated in play, humor, creativity, yoga and mindfulness. Her passion is working with people who would not ordinarily be able to attend traditional yoga. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 16, an illness that was severely stigmatized in the mid-70's, and with multiple sclerosis in the mid-90's, she has lived with these conditions for almost 50 years, and feels her body is her best teacher.
Ada-Reva creates gentle, adaptive yoga classes that work for many bodies and are very suitable for people with chronic illness, injury and special needs. She teaches group classes, conducts workshops and retreats, and is available for private sessions.
She teaches with warmth, humor and respect for the individuals she has the privilege of working with. Her strengths include her ability to craft a class that meets the needs of each individual student, her skill at working with people who ordinarily would not be able to attend a traditional yoga class, and her desire to help students develop a meaningful home practice.
